Super-smooth performance
Not just another Electron app.
Built to handle serious workloads without flinching.
Whether you’re capturing a few frames or a multi-hour session on a massive complex codebase, Superluminal can handle it without lagging or crashing.
Its core is architected so that capture size doesn’t punish you: frame-rate, memory usage, and lookup times stay snappy, delivering a smooth, responsive 60 FPS UI even when you’re digging through hundreds of gigabytes of profiling data.

Superluminal is totally interactive even with a 55-minute session...tools like VTune or WPA are barely usable at that scale.
High frequency sampling that sees everything.
Sampling allows Superluminal to show you what is really happening in your code by capturing performance data from everything running on your system – your code, third party libraries, system processes, even kernel level stacks – nothing can hide.
With sampling rates ranging from 8 kHz up to 40 kHz (platform dependent), it delivers rich callstacks and deep insights that traditional 1 kHz profilers just can’t match.

The deep kernel callstacks are so informative, the thread synchronization info is awesome. It's incredible that you've managed to extract so much information from a run even without instrumentation.
Battle tested by some of the biggest names in gaming.
Superluminal is trusted by hundreds of companies, over 50 AAA game studios, and thousands of developers working on the world’s largest codebases – the kind that live in the weirdest enterprise IT setups you can imagine. If it works for them, it’ll work for you.

FAQs
I’m not working on/profiling a game. Is Superluminal still useful to me?
Yes! Superluminal is not a game specific profiler. It is a generic CPU profiler that works with any kind of software, as long as the software is written in one of the languages we support. There are no features that will only really be useful in a game development context. We have plenty of customers in areas such as medical, finance, film and automotive.
I'm working on a game. Is Superluminal useful to me?
Yes! While Superluminal is not specific to games, it was designed & built by game developers with 20 years of experience profiling & optimizing games. Everything in it has been designed with that experience in mind. There are over 400 companies using Superluminal, including 50+ AAA studios, so you’ll be in good company.
I’m working on a highly parallel/multithreaded application. How does Superluminal help?
One of the focus points in Superluminal is to get a handle on complex multithreaded programs. The user interface has been designed from the ground up to clearly see the interaction between threads: who’s waiting, who’s unblocking, and when. Understanding code running across threads has never been easier.
How much time/effort will it cost me to start using it?
Close to zero. Superluminal has been designed to make the barrier to entry as low as we can get it. To get started, simply download the software, install it and you’re ready to go. There are no modifications necessary to your application at all; just point it at your application and start profiling. You’ll never have to bother with instrumentation markers again.
Do I get support when using Superluminal?
Yes, support is included. And we mean real support – there is no first-line “have you tried turning it off and on again”. All support is done directly by the developers themselves so you can be assured that the people helping you have a deep knowledge of Superluminal and will do their best to help you out. Support is available via email or via in-app chat, whatever you prefer.
Is there a way to try it out on my application?
Absolutely! There’s a 14-day fully-functional trial included in the download, so you can try Superluminal for yourself and experience all the benefits first-hand.
